Bioinformatics PhD Student Receives Award at CRIDC Conference

Bioinformatics PhD Student Shiyuyun (Gena) Tang was selected for a $1500 travel award at the Georgia Tech Career, Research, and Innovation Development Conference (CRIDC) held March 6, 2015. Gena is a student in the Borodovsky lab, and she is interested in developing ab initio methods of predicting intronless genes in genomic, transcriptomic, and meta-transcriptomic sequences. Gena's travel award was received in the CRIDC poster competition.
