Howdy! I graduated from Texas A&M Univeristy in 2017 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Genetics. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree I worked as a fulltime genetics laboratory technician at the TAMU Small Animal Hospital running PCR tests to diagnose gastrointestinal illnesses in animals from dogs and bunnies to elephants and tigers. Data analysis in the wet lab has inspired me to take the plunge into bioinformatics as it is the future for making personalized medicine and predictive health more applicable, accessible, and standardized for every day healthcare.
