My research is mostly about exploring the role of miRNAs in the correlation of mRNA and protein expression during ovarian cancer metastasis. By integrating transcriptomic and proteomic data, we found protein expression are not always correlated with mRNA expression. We use different prediction algorithms to find the functional miRNAs that could target those “non-correlated” genes. We are trying to validate our prediction by miRNA transfection, which might be able to explain the regulation of miRNAs in mRNA and protein non-correlation. Outside the research, I am a big fan of outdoor activities, such as hiking and camping. Getting away from the city and enjoying the nature is best way to relax for me.
