Mohan
Anoch Mohan completed his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a focus on Forensic Sciences from the University of North Texas in December 2021. Following his graduation, he joined an infectious diseases molecular diagnostic laboratory as a Laboratory Scientist. He also served as an APHL-CDC Bioinformatics Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. Anoch's primary responsibility involved supporting the Virology, Surveillance, and Diagnostics Branch in developing a CRISPR-based influenza assay for molecular diagnostics. He accomplished this through a customized Python application. He further enhanced this project by automating the pipeline, enabling laboratory scientists to easily execute their instruments and review data via a web browser. Currently, he is pursuing his Masters in Bioinformatics at Georgia Institute of Technology and conducting research at Emergent - the research group of Dr. Timothy Read.
