Ilaha
Huseynli
Ilaha has over five years of professional experience in clinical genetics, during which she identified novel clinically relevant mutations and contributed significantly to rare disease diagnostics. Driven by a strong interest in artificial intelligence, she transitioned into data science, quickly excelling and earning a U.S.-based Data Scientist role. She is currently a Bioinformatics PhD student at Georgia Tech with minor in Machine Learning under the supervision of Prof. Greg Gibson and Dr. Nick Housley, focusing on multi-omic and genomic approaches to understand chemotherapy-induced sensory neuropathy in cancer patients. Ilaha is also the founder of NexaLife, a startup developed through Georgia Tech's CREATE-X accelerator. NexaLife is building an AI-powered tool for automatically assessing MRI scan quality in fetal radiology, with an initial focus on evaluating the corpus callosum in the 2nd–3rd trimester of pregnancy. Designed for prenatal specialists and radiologists, the tool detects motion artifacts and guides imaging decisions.
