Swetha is a MS Bioinformatics student, who has graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in May 2021, with a B.S. Bioengineering and a minor in computer science. During her undergrad, she conducted research with mass spectrometry with Dr. Aaron Timperman. Throughout her time at UIUC, she has harnessed a passion for the intersection of biomedical and biological data and computer science. Here at Georgia Tech, she is continuing that passion with her involvement in Dr. Kamaleswaran's lab, where she is focused on developing and implementing machine learning algorithms with clinical data, to improve the diagnosis of sepsis.
