After working for the federal government for over 10 years conducting molecular ecology research, I enrolled in the GT Bioinformatics master's program to gain additional skills for analyzing multi-omics data for cancer and disease biomarker and therapeutic target discovery. Currently working with Dr. Andrew Hong's research group in the Emory School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics using single-cell RNA-sequencing data to investigate differential gene expression in chemotherapy-resistant renal medullary carcinoma tumor cell lines.
