Researchers at the School of Biological Sciences of Georgia Tech with PhD student Alli Gombolay, Dr. Fredrik Vannberg and Dr. Francesca Storici have developed a bioinformatics toolkit that precisely maps sites of ribonucleotides present in genomic DNA.
On August 17, 2018, Juliana Soto-Giron presented the oral defense of her PhD thesis, entitled, "From Genomes to Metagenomes: Big Data Analysis of Microbes Related to Public Health."
On March 14, 2018, Will Overholt successfully defended his PhD Thesis: "The response of marine benthic microbial populations to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill."
Congratulations to Shashwat Nagar (MS) and Will Overholt (PhD), who were recognized as the 2017 Outstanding Students in Bioinformatics at Georgia Tech!
