Justin graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2016.  He worked for BioFire Diagnostics (now bioMérieux) from 2017-2018.  He is currently working on a research project on Type II Diabetes Mellitus and health disparities in Dr. Jordan's lab.

Why do different ethnicities have different incidence rates for some diseases like Type II Diabetes Mellitus?  To answer this question, Justin is using methods of causal inference on genetic and environmental data from large observational studies.  If you are interested in the intersection of causal inference and genetic epidemiology, then please reach out to him.
