Director, Single Cell Biology Program at Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at CHOA
Lab Interests:  A major focus of my research is towards the development of omics and bioinformatics approaches for better understanding of disease pathophysiology and to identify novel biomarkers. We are developing tools for assessing the role of tumor immune landscape in cancer therapeutic outcomes using innovative single-cell profiling and artificial intelligence techniques. Additionally, we are also developing machine learning-based neo-antigen discovery tools for vaccine design and understanding drug-vaccine interactions for improving cancer outcomes.

Research Interests

Platform for analysis of single cell data;
Development of molecular diagnostics platforms for cancer diagnosis and prognosis;
Identification of biomarkers for early detection of pancreatic cancer, glioblastoma and colon cancer;
Exploring the genomic mechanism for complementary and alternative medicines(CAM);
Understanding tumor heterogeneity using single cell sequencing;
Development of novel algorithms for analysis of omics data including RNA sequencing, chip sequencing, DNA sequencing and proteomics
