Hello! Welcome to my page, and let me take the time to tell you a little more about myself. I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, and I attended my undergraduate at CU Boulder and the University of Georgia. In May 2023, I graduated UGA with my BS in computer science. I chose the path of bioinformatics so I can use my data science/software skills to help pioneer a relatively new realm of science. In my free time I love to ski, invest, play sports, hang out with friends, and eat raw cookie dough. In my lab, I am using machine learning algorithms (specifically a CNN) to create a generative AI that forms molecules that have a high probability of binding with a protein. My data is currently specific to AtSWEET1, a glucose transporter of which is one of the most important carbohydrates in plants, and it has a significant impact on crop yields. My software however is not specific to AtSWEET1, and I am hoping that through my work here at tech, it can be used as a general model for drug discovery in the future.
