The Computational Biology Faculty Research Award provides students with a GRA.
In-State Students:
Example Fall 2026
GRA awards pay for the “regular” portion of your graduate tuition. For in-state students, regular tuition is $7280 per semester. Since MSBINF is a differential program, our total in-state tuition is $8550 per semester. So with the GRA waiver, you still have $1270 in tuition per semester. Additionally, you will have student fees of $758, mandatory GRA health insurance of $206.82, and $25 GRA tuition. The balance of student-paid tuition and fees is approximately $2260 per semester after your GRA tuition waiver is applied.
Out of State Students:
Example Fall 2026
GRA awards pay for the “regular” portion of your graduate tuition. For out-of-state students, regular tuition is $16,073 per semester. The total tuition for MSBINF is $20,236 per semester. MS BINF GRA students are responsible for differential tuition of $4163. Additionally, you will have student fees of $758, mandatory GRA health insurance of $206.82, and $25 GRA tuition. The balance of student-paid tuition and fees is approximately $5153 per semester after your GRA tuition waiver is applied.
Out of Country Students:
Example Fall 2026
GRA awards pay for the “regular” portion of your graduate tuition. For out-of-country students, regular tuition is $16,540 per semester. The total tuition for MSBINF is $20,825 per semester. MS BINF GRA students are responsible for differential tuition of $4285. Additionally, you will have student fees of $758, mandatory GRA health insurance of $206.82, the $100 international student fee, and $25 GRA tuition. The balance of student-paid tuition and fees is approximately $5375 per semester after your GRA tuition waiver is applied.
Stipend:
MSBINF GRA students are paid the non-thesis GRA rate of $1550 per month (as of fall 2026). Work and pay dates are aligned with the first and last day of class for the semester a student is funded.
