Peter Audano, Bioinformatics Doctoral Student, Selected for NIH Training Grant

In July 2014, Bioinformatics faculty member, Dr. Gregory Gibson, was awarded a National Research Service Awards Institutional Predoctoral Training Grant (T32) from the NIH National Institute of General Medical Science. Titled,"Computational Biology and Predictive Health", the grant will bridge Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering and Computer Science through the support of four graduate students each year over the five funding period. The Executive Committee for the grant includes Greg Gibson, Melissa Kemp, King Jordan and Nicoleta Serban. The four students supported by the Training Grant are: Peter Audano (Bioinformatics - Fred Vannberg group) Robert Chen (CSE- Jimeng Sun group) Ryan Hoffman (BME - May Wang group) Ariel Kniss (BME - Melissa Kemp group)
