I'm Varsha, and I completed my bachelor's degree from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NITT), India, in 2022. I was a member of the Jordan Lab during my time at Tech. Some of my favorite things to do include discovering new music, cleaning and organizing, and learning languages (I am very active on Duolingo with a long streak!)
I was a part of the Jordan Lab, where I am working on developing an integrated risk prediction tool for colorectal cancer. This tool takes into consideration genetic risk factors (in the form of polygenic risk scores) and clinical risk factors (such as age, sex, and weight) to predict an individual's risk of contracting colorectal cancer. This tool is being created for Dr. Bill Lyday of Gastroenterology Atlanta in collaboration with Tempus AI.
