I am a member of Torres lab (https://torreslab.mystrikingly.com/#the-team), where I conduct translational research to understand how post-translational modifications on drug targets might change drug binding affinity.

When I'm not tinkering with molecular dynamics force fields or bothering the post-doc in the lab, I love exploring the art of Neapolitan pizza making and playing rock music on my guitar.

Research Interests

Drug discovery approaches have largely ignored the effect of post-translational modifications (PTMs) on protein structure. For this reason, the behavior of drugs in vitro may not necessarily represent the in vivo behavior of the drug, since drug targets usually contain multiple phosphosites, acetylation sites, and other PTMs that modulate signaling behavior through functional change. I am interested in bridging the gap between the growing number of experimentally observed PTMs and drug discovery pipelines using cost-effective bioinformatics approaches.
