The Computational Biology Faculty Research Award provides students with a GRA.
In-State Students:
Example Spring 2024
GRA awards pay for the “regular” portion of your graduate tuition. For in-state students, regular tuition is $7032 per semester. Since MSBINF is a differential program, our total in-state tuition is $8259 per semester. So with the GRA waiver, you still have $1227 in tuition per semester. Plus you have student fees of $753 and health insurance of $420 (spring 2024, includes summer). The remaining student-paid tuition and fees are $2400 per semester while on GRA.
Out of State Students:
Example Spring 2024
GRA awards pay for the “regular” portion of your graduate tuition. For out-of-state students, regular tuition is $14,570 per semester. The total tuition for MSBINF is $18,345 per semester. MS BINF GRA students are responsible for differential tuition of $3775. Plus you have student fees of $753 and health insurance of $420 (spring 2024, includes summer). The remaining student-paid tuition and fees are $4948 per semester while on GRA.
Stipend:
MSBINF GRA students are paid the non-thesis GRA rate of $1155 per month. Work and pay dates are aligned with the first and last day of class for the semester a student is funded.
